Homework
Homework is a vital part of your child's education:
- It encourages independence
- It helps to reinforce learning we do in class
- It will help prepare children for secondary school
Maths and English
Online SPaG.com and Maths.co.uk homework is set on alternate weeks.
Reading Books
Reading books should be returned to school every day. They will be changed after a short quiz whenever your child has read the whole book.
Children should record at least two entries each week in their reading records - this must be signed by a parent and returned to school each day, signatures will be checked on a Monday.
Spellings
Spellings will be added to Dojo portfolios on Monday and practice must be completed, saved and sent back by the following Monday - when your child will be tested.
PE
PE days in Sycamore are on Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning.
Kit needed:
Black shorts/tracksuit bottoms
Red T-shirt
Red jumper/hoodie
Change of footwear
Please label all PE kit items - this is to be kept in a bag in the classroom PE kit box.
