Homework
Reading books
Each week the children will have two reading books sent home: a book to share and a reading practise book.
Sharing Books - This is a book your child has chosen to enjoy and read with you. This will be changed every Monday if the reading record book has been signed.
Reading practise book - This book will be closely matched to your child's phonic phase. If your child is reading it with little help, please don't worry that it's too easy - your child needs to develop fluency and confidence in reading. This book will go home each week on a Monday and be collected in on a Thursday.
Spellings
Spellings will be sent home on a Monday and tested on a Monday each week. The spellings will relate to the phonics work that your child has learnt that week.
When is homework set?
Homework is set on a Monday.
What will children receive?
- Maths homework will be set every other week via maths.co.uk
- English homework will be set every other week via spag.com
PE
PE days will be Wednesday and Thursday for Year 1
PE days will be Wednesday and Friday for Year 2.
PE kits will need to be in scholl every week and will be sent home at the end of each half term.
