Safeguarding at Newhey Community Primary School
At Newhey Community Primary School, safeguarding and child protection are our highest priorities. We are committed to creating a safe, secure and nurturing environment where every child can learn and thrive.
Our Safeguarding Commitment
- We ensure that all staff, governors and volunteers receive regular safeguarding training.
- We follow statutory guidance to the latest policies set out by the Department for Education.
- We have clear procedures for reporting and managing concerns about a child's welfare.
If you have any concerns about the safety or wellbeing of a child, please contact one of our Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) on 01706 847 658.
Online Safety
Children thrive online when they understand how to stay safe, be kind and ask for help when
something doesn’t feel right.
The internet offers amazing opportunities for learning and play, but it also includes risks like privacy
issues, scams and cyberbullying. Teaching online safety helps children protect personal information, avoid harmful content, and use technology responsibly.
