Our vision for Science
At Newhey we believe that the learning of science is integral to a child’s education. Our curriculum is aimed to develop pupil’s natural curiosity about the world around them and encourage understanding of how and why things work. Pupils are supported in asking, testing and researching ideas in an environment that fosters inclusion and a love of learning.
We want our pupils to strive for success and know that the world is full of possibilities. Our vision is for pupils to not only learn science facts but to be submerged in being a scientist and have the confidence to share their ideas and interests. It is of great importance to us for pupils to be able to link their learning with the wider world and know where science can lead them later in life.
We seek to inspire budding scientists whilst developing their working scientifically skills through hands on learning and child led investigations.
