Online Safety

Children thrive online when they understand how to stay safe, be kind and ask for help when something doesn’t feel right.

The internet offers amazing opportunities for learning and play, but it also includes risks like privacy
issues, scams and cyberbullying. Teaching online safety helps children protect personal information, avoid harmful content, and use technology responsibly.

 Parents' Safety Checklist

  • Set device passcodes and create child accounts
  • Switch on parental controls
  • Talk about what’s OK to share
  • Agree screen time limits together
  • Show children how to report/block

Online Safety Guides are sent via email each Wednesday morning. They are designed to support families in navigating the digital world with confidence, exploring 3 main topics; online safety, mental health & wellbeing; and climate change & sustainability. Each issue shares practical tips, guidance, and updates to help keep children safe online at school and at home.
