Welcome to our PSHE / RSE Information Page
As you may be aware, from September 2020 - the Department for Education is making Relationships and Health Education compulsory in primary schools.
Furthermore, the department continues to recommend that all primary schools should have a sex education programme tailored to the age and the physical and emotional maturity of the pupils; ensuring that both boys and girls are prepared for the changes that adolescence brings.
This page aims to make available to you- all the information you need to understand more about what your child will be learning about in our PSHE/RSE lessons.
Parental Feedback Period
As a school community, we are committed to working with parents and if you would like to discuss the programme contents/resources/policy any further then please feel free to contact me (lsykes@newhey.rochdale.sch.uk).
The letter below was sent out in 2020 to inform parents of the New Scheme of Work and a consultation period was completed before teaching & learning from the scheme began.
